We are one. We are THETAS.Founded in 1988, the goal of the Sorority continues to be seen as an upstanding group of women contributing to Greek life here at UPB. We hope to accomplish this through community service, fundraising, and building lasting relationships amongst ourselves as well as in the Greek and general student populations. The Founding Mothers established certain traditions that have been carried down for years. Therefore, we strive to continue those traditions with the goal that many more will share our warmth, love, and friendship. Our Symbols include the candle and the phoenix. Our colors are Royal Blue and Kelly Green.

Academics.Joining a sorority in college is a life-changing experience, but garnering an education is the top priority for Theta. This is why our sorority is expected to maintain academic standards equal to or higher than the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford's campus GPA. We don’t ask individual members to maintain a certain GPA due to the variances in course loads, but each member is expected to contribute to the overall GPA of the chapter.
If a Theta struggles academically, we help her through it. The Scholarship Committee helps struggling sisters create an improvement plan using study tactics and time management. We want each sister to leave college with what they came for: a degree. To help keep our sisters accountable for their study hours, we have implemented a system where each Theta is responsible for recording her study hours. Our cumulative sorority GPA is above the average GPA for Pitt Brad students, along with our graduation rate, which has been at 100% consecutively for several years. |
